Gendhing Cosmic 2

outer space gamelan

A composition version of the sound installation “Gendhing Cosmic,” “Gendhing Cosmic 2” is a 7th-order ambisonics composition re-imagining gamelan as if it lives in the outer space, thereby uprooting its conventional performing theory based on the tradition.

​All the sound was generated in SuperCollider through inharmonic additive synthesis and spatialized using IEM Plug-in Suite and VSTPlugins Ugens for SuperCollider.
